Community Matters!

Our work with communities consistently affirms the need for and power of citizen engagement; that the intentional creation of space for community building, dialogue and deliberation serves as the very foundation for lasting community change.

The essential challenge is to transform the isolation and self-interest within our communities into connectedness and caring for the whole.

– Peter Block, Community: The Structure of Belonging

The Tamarack Institute defines Community Engagement as the process by which citizens are engaged to work and learn together on behalf of their communities to create and realize bold visions for the future.

VIRTUAL GOOD NEWS EVENTS

Use the power of virtual meetings to engage your community in one hour of nothing but Good News.

The event hinges on the recruitment of up to twenty speakers who have positive news to share. News that is relevant to the community. Each speaker will have a maximum of two minutes to share their “Good News” within a well orchestrated agenda. The good news here is that virtual public meetings typically increase the number of people participating.

Focus Intent can orchestrate the event for you or provide your team the coaching to do it yourselves.
